For October, we are pleased to feature Tayman Lyttle. Tayman is a 7th grader at BES this year, and had some great things to say about why he loves the arts, and why they're important to him - and to all of us!

Do you like art, and if so, why?
I like art because drawing is my passion and I really like it and I think it’s fun and I spend a lot of time on it sometimes.
What is a favorite piece of art you have created or a favorite time in performing arts?
I drew a realistic Albert Einstein drawing. It’s really realistic.
What would you say to a friend to get them interested in the arts?
uhm. When you draw art you can show it off to your friends when you’re done and say “if you want to do it, i can give you you a lesson”
Why are the arts so important right now?
You can just sit down and be calm instead of running around being crazy.
