The Mono Arts Council Gallery & Art Center has been open since 2010 and features work from over 70 local and regional artists.


Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will help you with a wide variety of arts & crafts, everything from scenic photography to metal sculptures, from pottery to hats, from oil paintings to hand-made soap. In addition to the featured artists, the MAC gallery also hosts 3-4 titled shows per year to encourage new artists to feature their work in the gallery as well as inspire existing artists to create new work.

Art & Wine

Mammoth Celebrates the Arts is a special show in Mammoth Lakes, CA at 8,000 feet. Mono Arts Council (MAC) is the presenter of this established art show that has been in the Footloose Sports parking lot for over 30 years. The 4th of July Parade route is right by the show! MAC works with the Town of Mammoth Lakes and the Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce to present a fun filled 4th of July weekend for the entire family. Shop from over 70 talented artists showcasing hand crafted jewelry, log furniture, handmade clothing, photography, stained glass, pottery, metal work for the home and garden, paintings and watercolors, homemade bath products and more. Sip a cold beer or cocktail while listening to live local bands perform. Mammoth Brewing Company will be offering a few of their best selling beers and MAC will offer a selection of cocktails for a warm summer day. Enjoy a variety of cuisines at our International Food Court area.


This is Mammoth’s busiest summer weekend. Enjoy the 4th of July parade and fireworks, a block party, hiking, mountain bike riding, fishing and more.


MONO ARTS COUNCIL, a non-profit arts council, sponsors this event to encourage the growth and appreciation of the arts in the Mammoth Lakes area. The funds that MAC receives from the exhibitors are used to cover the expenses of the festival, and support arts in education in Mono County.

No ATM is available on site.  Most vendors accept credit cards.


Festival Rules:

For the safety and enjoyment of all Festival attendees, please observe the following rules.  Smoking is not permitted.  No photos or videos of artwork without Artist’s permission. Please use trash receptacles and recycle all glass, cans and plastic in the designated bins around the Festival site.

MAC T-shirts and MAC canvas bags, stickers and grocery totes are available at the Information Booth.



Dogs on leashes are welcome at the Festival. Please be aware of the hot pavement at the Festival site and protect your dog’s paws.


Rest Rooms:

Portable facilities are located at the Festival site.



Alcoholic beverages are sold within the Festival site.  Regulations require that alcoholic beverages purchased at the event remain on-site.  Please don’t drink and drive; let a taxi be your designated driver.   Mammoth Taxi – (760) 934-8294

Labor Day Festival

of the Arts

Mono Arts Council (MAC) will present its 49th annual Labor Day Festival of the Arts this September 1-3, 2018 in Mammoth Lakes, CA. Set high among the pines, this world-class Festival provides fairgoers a beautiful viewing and buying experience. Over the course of 3 days, visitors and residents of Mammoth Lakes will enjoy 110+ exhibiting visual artists, sample international food, local craft beers and wine, listen to live musical performances and entertain families with kid’s art workshops.  The quality of the participating juried artists contributes to the Festival’s continued recognition as the premier visual art show in the Eastern Sierra.

Holiday Marketplace in Minaret Mall

The Holiday Marketplace (previously the Winter Art Show/Festival) has been a Mammoth Lakes tradition for over 20 years. Located in the Minaret Village Shopping Center by our Mono Arts Council Gallery & Art Center and Vons, this indoor art festival is the perfect place to find that one-of-a-kind work of art you have been looking for. Featuring 10-15 local and regional artists, the festival is small enough that you will have the perfect opportunity to get to know the artists and large enough that you want to come back day after day to continue shopping.
