Festival Focus

Mammoth Celebrates the Arts is a fun and festive show set in the heart of the Town of Mammoth Lakes, CA at 8,000 feet. Mono Arts Council (MAC) is the producer of this long-standing art show that has been in the Footloose Sports parking lot for over 30 years and in town for over 40 years.  MAC works with the Town of Mammoth Lakes and the Mammoth Lakes Chamber of Commerce to present a fun filled, 4th of July weekend for the entire family. The 4th of July Parade route goes right by the show! This is Mammoth’s busiest summer weekend with families coming for the 4th of July parade & fireworks, a block party, hiking, mountain bike riding and fishing.

 

Mono Arts Council, a nonprofit arts council, produces this event to encourage the growth and appreciation of the arts in Mono County. The funds, which MAC receives from the exhibitors, are used to cover the expenses of the festival, and support arts in education throughout Mono County.

 

 

Exhibitor’s Expense

$375 – 10’ X 10’ booth space (refundable if not accepted)

$25 – Jury Fee (non-refundable)

$25 – Electricity (limited access, please inquire)

$10 – Processing Fee for mailed payment and/or applications and images

 

 

Screening Criteria

 

 

Regulations

 • Exhibitors must display work only in the category in which they were accepted.

 • Only artists displaying their own work will be eligible to participate. The artist must be present.

 • Exhibitors displaying work that is noticeably inferior or not presented in their application are subject to removal from the festival without a refund.

 • Mammoth Lakes sales tax of 7.75% is the responsibility of the exhibitor.

 • Exhibitor must have a current California resale number.

 • Exhibitors must be present for the duration of the festival.

 • Booths must be set up by festival opening and stay open during the listed closing hours.

 • Exhibitors need to keep their booth area clean and free of trash. Exhibitors are responsible for ALL trash removal at the end of the festival. NEW* Exhibitors must get checked out by the Festival Director prior to leaving to ensure all trash has been cleared. Any exhibitor failing to get checked out and/or leaving excessive amounts of trash will be charged a $25 cleaning fee.

 • No smoking on the festival site.

Festival Focus

The Labor Day Festival of the Arts is a world-class festival nestled in a pine forest in the town of Mammoth Lakes, CA at 8,000 feet. The Labor Day Festival was ranked in the top 100 art festivals of 2018 in ArtFairSourceBook.com. It has been one of the top tourist events of the summer and the most highly regarded art event in the Eastern Sierra. It features artists, food concessions, family activities and free entertainment. This year we will have enhancements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the festival. We will announce details in the coming months.

 

Mono Arts Council, a nonprofit arts council, produces this event to encourage the growth and appreciation of the arts in Mono County. The funds, which MAC receives from the exhibitors, are used to cover the expenses of the festival, and support arts in education throughout Mono County.

The jury consists of a panel of artists and art patrons selected for their knowledge of particular medias. Jurying is based on quality, creative original artwork made with superior craftmanship and technique. High quality images are essential. The number of exhibitors in each media category is limited to present a balanced show. Artwork must be produced by the applicant and the images of your artwork must be representational of ALL work intended for sale. Please include 5 images per medium. Please include a photograph of your display booth. JPEG files are preferred. Include your name on the image file. Questions email: festivals@monoarts.org

Festival Focus

The June Lake Jam Fest is a groovy concert event located at Gull Lake Park in the town of June Lake CA at 7,500 feet. Now in the fifth year, JLJF is attracting jam music fans from around the state, and is being recognized as one of the upcoming small boutique music festivals. As this is a music festival, craft vendors are more successful at this event than fine art vendors. The location for the vendors is adjacent to the stage area in the tennis court on the premises. MONO ARTS COUNCIL, a nonprofit arts council, sponsors this event to encourage the growth and appreciation of the arts in the Mammoth Lakes area. The funds which MAC receives from the exhibitors are used to cover the expenses of the festival, and support music programs for students in Mono County.

 

Exhibitor’s Expense

$150 – 10’ X 10’ booth space (refundable if not accepted)

$25 – Jury Fee (non-refundable)

 • Vendors must be present for the duration of the festival.

 • Vendors need to keep their booth area clean and free of trash. Trash must be thrown out in the designated dumpsters only. You must clear out all food, drink and trash at the end of each night and clean all grills and counters to prevent Bears from destroying your booth and those around you. Vendors are responsible for ALL trash removal at the end of the festival. NEW* Vendors must get checked out by the Festival Director prior to leaving to ensure all trash has been cleared. Any exhibitor failing to get checked out and/or leaving excessive amounts of trash will be charged a $25 cleaning fee.
